Frequently asked questions

Which fields can I change?

The current controls edit title, author, subject, and comma-separated keywords.

Will an empty field clear the old value?

Yes. Empty controls are saved as empty values for the supported fields. Existing values are not automatically loaded into these controls.

Does clearing metadata anonymize my PDF?

No. Page content, attachments, XMP metadata, and other information may remain. This is not a document sanitization tool.

Will my original be overwritten?

No. A new PDF is downloaded. Keep the original if you want to preserve its existing document information.
